I am so very sorry for your loss. Mary precepted me as a new nurse on 4AB at Overlook in 1989. She was patient and caring; the staff and patients adored her. She was such a role model to me- so beautiful inside and out. I will hold your family in my prayers...
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back... And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
God Bless Mary.

Mary was a very good friend to me when the Hallys moved to Basking Ridge. She was kind, supportive, and we had a lot of fun together too. I am heartbroken to hear of her passing. My family has been blessed with years of friendship with the Hally family, and I’ll be praying for the Hallys and Shortalls, that God wraps His loving arms around you all and eases your grief. Hearing this awful news has put me right back in 1983 - here’s a photo I dug up of Mary and me at our high school graduation. I’ll always be grateful for the time we shared, and for what a good friend she was to me when I needed one

We could not have had a more wonderful next-door neighbor for the past 26 years. Mary always greeted us, and the world, with a smile. We recall conversations about Cape May and other places for which we had a shared affection. She gave tirelessly of herself in helping those less fortunate. Our hearts are with her family.

We’re blessed to have known Mary as our next door neighbor and friend for over 25 years.
Mary brought such joy to our neighborhood, our church, our community and to everyone who had the honor of knowing her. We have so many fond memories of raising our kids together at OLMC School, the fundraisers, events, lunch duty, carnivals, craft shows and countless hours of volunteering. There was never a time that Mary didn’t offer help when needed. She inspired me in being a woman of faith, devoted to Our Blessed Mother and a role model friend, wife, sister, mom and daughter.
Whenever I looked out my sunroom or kitchen window, I’d see Mary. She was serving food on her deck, tending to her garden, getting ready to exercise or hosting guests. In 2018, shortly after Jenna committed to Seton Hall University, Mary (a proud SHU graduate) gave Jenna her SHU watch. It’s one of the treasured memories that our family will hold onto forever.
We’re praying for you Brian, Erin and Connor. Be assured that we will be here for you in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.
Our most heartfelt condolences,
Adriane, Michael, Jenna and Juliana

A great memory I have of Mary, represents her kindness in so many ways. She always had a table at the OLMC craft shows, full of nice things, however her personally made Jewelry was really nice. I was walking thru the craft show with my daughters looking for a gift for their Mom. Mary offered to have the girls, over to her house and make a personal piece. I remember walking into her basement and seeing a DIY, Jewelry dispensary, hobby room, that was stocked with all sorts of creative items. I left the girls came back latter to pick them up and a master piece was created. It was a really nice gesture that made a special moment and gift.
Nice is Nice
and thats what Mary was..........

Brian, Erin and Connor we mourn with you with the loss of your wife, mom and our dear friend. Mary (while a little too healthy and fit for me!) was a special person to our family, our neighborhood, our town and frankly anyone who had the opportunity to meet her or know her.
While we will suffer earthly pain and have temporal challenges, we all must have HOPE knowing that we can be made perfect in God's eyes - not by anything that we have done - through the GRACE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
We will ALWAYS be here for you and there is NO ASK too BIG. We will miss Mary dearly but try to have solace knowing Clancy has her dog walker with her in Heaven.
Love the Ruud's.

Mary and Brian were the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. We became close friends during the 24+ years we shared a cul de sac. Always a bright smile and complimentary words. We watched our children grow in a rewarding neighborhood kinda like the bar Cheers. She is already missed by all who came in contact with her. Prayers for her family, Brian, Erin and Connor. R.I.P. sweet neighbor.

I have such a vivid memory of meeting Mary at a party on one of her early dates with Brian - probably in the early 90's. A beautiful soul inside and out, we all loved her immediately. I was so happy to reconnect some years later at the Y, sharing many spin and yoga classes, and friendship. Mary was a beautiful angel and true friend. Her loss is immeasurable but I wish peace and love to my friend in heaven and love and sincere condolences to her family.

Simply heartbreaking that family, friends and those of us who were touched by having known Mary will no longer share in friendship. My deepest condolences to all. Eternal peace...Heaven received a special angel! My deepest sympathy to you and yours Brian. With deepest reverence, Pam & Ron Plumstead.
