Obituary of Michele Marie Steinmetz

Rockaway Boro – Michele Marie Steinmetz passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville after a short illness. She was 62. Born in Jersey City to the late Joseph and Emily Steinmetz, she lived in Boonton for most of her life before moving to Rockaway four years ago. She was an administrative assistant and office manager for Reliable Lift Company in Rockaway for many years until she took ill in 2015. Survivors include her partner, Hector Ortiz, her daughter Kathy Cronk, eight brothers and sisters, two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, 07005. (973) 334-0842. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 – 6:30 PM. A prayer service will celebrate her life at 6:30 PM. A private cremation will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her memory to the Wounded Warriors Project.
