Obituary of Sophie Catherine Mitchko

Sophie "Sally" Mitchko (nee Bishop) , 99, Boonton Township Sophie "Sally" Mitchko (nee Bishop), 99, of Boonton Township NJ, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Sally was born and raised in Boonton, and was a lifelong resident. Sally was President of the Ladies Rosary Society of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church, located in Boonton. Prior to her retirement, Sally was a self-employed beautician. Sally is survived by her loving children Edward Sr. and his wife Lola, and Jane Athow and her husband Karl. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christienne, Edward Jr., Michael, Sally, Mary and Kris, and her great grandchildren Jamie Leigh, Michael Jake, Daniel Patrick and Adi K. Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward J. Mitchko, her loving daughter Judith Mitchko and her cherished great granddaughter Bella Sophie. Visitation for Sally will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 4-8 PM, at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street Boonton, NJ 07005. Funeral services will commence on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 215 Hill Street , Boonton, NJ. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
