Eugene J. "Buck" Bednar, 86 Boonton, NJ Eugene J. "Buck" Bednar, 86, of Boonton passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 22, 2015 on his 51st wedding anniversary with his beloved wife by his side. He was born and raised in Boonton and was a lifelong resident He was a owner and operator of the family business Bednar Brothers Builders in Boonton for many years. Buck was an original member of the Riverside Athletic Club in Boonton, past member of Boonton Fire Department Harmony Company. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family. Buck was the beloved husband of 51 years of Mary Lou Bednar (nee Higgins). Devoted father of Eugene, David had his wife Maria, Corde Marie and her husband Brian Reed, Michael and his wife Leslie, and Annette Bednar. Cherished grandfather of David Joseph, Sarah, Sophia, Michael, Katerina, David Peter, and Isaac. Loving brother of Gladys Jarombek, Marian Bentley, and Matthew Bednar. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street in Boonton at 9:45 AM, then to Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, 32 West Franklin Ave., Pequannock Township for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, at the corner of Green St. and Wootton Ave. Boonton.. Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers have masses said for his soul.
