It was there where she met her husband Robert (an army captain) and after a whirlwind courtship they returned to the United States, got married, and quickly started their family. In addition to raising her four children, Bonnie was a beloved substitute teacher in the Montville school district and a well-known and devoted community volunteer. She served as a class mother at her children's schools, taught religious education classes as a parishioner at St. Pius X, led scout troops, coached recreation cheerleading, and counseled community members on a crisis hotline. As an active member of the Lake Valhalla Club, Bonnie developed many special and lifelong friendships. Family was everything to Bonnie, and she especially enjoyed summer vacations at the Cape (Cape Cod) with her extended family. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2013, and is the mother of Kelly (Joseph) Falcone, Robert T. (Andrea) Lincoln Jr., Colleen (Frank) Kalusa, Bonnie (Tim) Leonard, and devoted grandmother to Allison, Jason, Julia, and Robert.
