Florence "Lal" Mary Ross, 98, of Boonton, NJ

Florence "Lal" Mary Ross, 98, of Boonton, NJ, passed away on Thursday January 14, 2016.

Lal was born and raised and was a lifelong resident of Boonton, NJ. She was employed for many years as a seamstress with Gotthelf Mills in Boonton, NJ. Lal was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Boonton VFW, and a member of the American Association of Hosiery Workers, Branch # 13 since 1936. Lal was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, where she received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Holy Matrimony. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and Boonton High School.

Lal was the beloved wife of the late James J. Ross, and is survived by her loving children Judith Knepp and her husband James, James F. and his wife Linda, John and his wife Mary, and Michael. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Kelly, Jennifer, Kathryn, Rebecca, James, Laurel and Jack, and her great grandchildren Ryan, Ellin, Daniel and Aubrey. Lal was the grandmother of the late Martin Knepp and his wife Sandy.

Visitation for Florence will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Funeral Services will commence on Thursday January 21, 2016, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lal's name to Our Lady of Mt.
