My sweet Aunt Joan was such an important person to so many. She meant so so much to me. I have so many wonderful memories of our time spent together. She was my aunt and my friend. She fed my soul full of movies and music and museum visits and culture. She was the keeper of all the family stories and always eager to talk about current affairs and politics and anything else that she and inevitable you found interesting. She was witty and smart and funny and warm. I never heard her be judgmental or harsh and she was open to everyone. She is a part of me and I will miss her everyday. It hurts to not be there with you all sharing memories and squeezes. I'm grateful you're my family. I love you very much.
