Hackettstown - Mary Di Lillo passed away at home after a short illness on Thursday, November 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. Born to the late John and Elvira (DeLuca) Spinozzi on December 31, 1924 in Boonton, she was a long-time resident before moving to Hackettstown. She was employed by the Boonton Board of Education and worked in the high school cafeteria for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Di Lillo was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R. C. Church, and worked as a volunteer in the church thrift shop. She was a member of the Boontonites, Rosettes, Supremes, and the Boonton Senior Citizens Club. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Vittorio, her brother Joseph Spinozzi, and her sister Gilda Di Pasquale. Survivors include her son John Di Lillo and his wife Diana; her daughter Toniann Petrillo and her husband Thomas; four grandchildren Jason and his wife Jessica Di Lillo, Matthew and his wife Donna Di Lillo, Christina and her husband Phil Signore, and Nicholas Petrillo; six great grandchildren, Anthony, Annabella, Adriana, Olivia, Giuliana and Caleb; her sister-in-law Florence Spinozzi, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 9:30 AM, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of MT. Carmel R. C. Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton.
