Obituary of Joseph Doran Nass

Joseph Doran Nass, 88, of Rockaway Joseph Doran Nass, 88, of Rockaway, passed away on May 19, 2016, at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. Joseph was born in Newark, raised in Boonton Township, and lived in Montville and Succasunna before moving to Rockaway. Joseph proudly served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and then for three years in the US Air Force. He owned and operated Joe's Texaco in Boonton, NJ ,and then was a manager for Harry Charlton Fuel Oil Co., Boonton, NJ. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Ida (nee Arci), his loving children Joseph E. Nass (Mary), Edward Nass (Debra), Christopher Nass and Sharon Carey (Daniel). He is also survived by nine cherished grandchildren. Joseph was predeceased by his son Robert. Funeral services for Joseph will be held privately under the care of Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ.
