John "Sean" Murphy, 62 of Mine Hill Township died Saturday November 7, 2015 at the Veterans Hospital in Bernards Township.
A visitation will be held on Veterans Day, Wednesday November 11, 2015 from 4-8 PM with the Funeral Service beginning at 8 PM. Born in County Cork Ireland Sean lived in Orange before moving to Mine Hill Township 15 years ago. Sean proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976 during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a Carpenter working with the New Jersey Carpenters Union. Sean was a member of the Morris County Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick and the Boonton Elk's Lodge # 1405.
Sean was the beloved husband of Eugenia (Morton) Murphy, married 15 years. Loving son of Mary Murphy and the late Patrick Murphy Sr. Stepfather to Gina Knott and Joseph Knott. Devoted brother of Marion DeAnnuntis, Anthony Murphy, Thomas Murphy, Angela Schuman and the late Patrick Murphy Jr. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
