Mae (Mabel) Eaton Ridings

Retired Licensed Practical Nurse

     Mae Ridings, of Boonton, went to be with her Lord Wednesday July 17, 2013, joining her beloved husband Jack (John) and daughter Carol.  She was born in the Bronx and lived in Bloomfield before moving to Boonton in 1958.

     Graduated Paine Hall Medical School in NY as a Medical Assistant and Morris Hills LPN adult program after her husband passed in 1968.  She was employed at St. Clares Hospital and The New Jersey Fireman’s Home in Boonton, retiring in 1985.

     She taught Sunday school at Brookdale Baptist and Broughton Presbyterian churches in Bloomfield; later attended Jacksonville Chapel, in Lincoln Park.

     Mae is survived by her son, Roy Eaton Ridings and his wife Audrey; and daughters Sherry Davis, and Janis Shiflett.  She was the sister of Warren P. Eaton III; and grandmother of three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

     Remembrance will be held at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street in Boonton.  Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2013 from 5-8PM, and Tuesday July 23, 2013 from 10:30am-11:30am, with the Service at 11:30am.  Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, in East Hanover.
