Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Corrigan

Margaret “Betty” Elizabeth Corrigan , 96 Boonton, NJ and Nokomis, Florida Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) Corrigan (McMahon) passed away peacefully on April 26, 2013 in Venice, Florida. Born in 1916 in Jersey City, she was married for 60 years to her beloved husband, Edward, (deceased 2003) and lived in Boonton, New Jersey and Nokomis, Florida. She is survived by her sister, Muriel Lindquist, and her children, Richard (Pam), Ann (Roland), James, Thomas (Deborah), Robert (Jill) and Mark (Kathryn) as well as 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her son, Edward Kevin, predeceased her in 1994. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all the people whose lives she touched in so many ways and whose days she brightened with her repertoire of songs. Known affectionately as Mom-Mom, Betty was a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, N.Y. and homemaker, teacher, and world traveler. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Osprey, Florida. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 9:00 AM at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main St. Boonton, NJ with a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Boonton, N.J. Interment to follow at Rockaway Valley Cemetery, in Boonton Twp. A farewell viewing will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 5 - 9 PM at the funeral home.
