As my Mom mentioned below living next to Mr. & Mrs. D while growing up on Cornelia Street was such a joy! They both had a significant impact on me while growing up and helped me become the person I am today. One memory which sticks out was during a blizzard in the mid-90's my brother and I were playing outside in the snow and we saw a super cool Army Humvee driving down the street. It stopped right in front of our houses and Mr. D popped out and told us to get in for a ride - we all drove around in the snow listening to Mr. D's stories and to this day I still think it was one of the coolest days ever! My deepest condolences, the whole DeMatteo Family is in my thoughts & prayers. Love, Seth M. Picconi
