Obituary of Josephine Mary Sereno

Josephine Sereno, 85, of Boonton Josephine Sereno, 85, of Boonton, passed away on Sept 19, 2016, at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Newark, Josephine moved to Boonton in November 1953. Josephine was a cafeteria worker for the Boonton Board of Education at Boonton High School for 30 plus years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony and her parents Anthony and Sadie Ricigliano, Josephine is survived by loving children Frederick M. Sereno and Marie Sereno. She also leaves behind her caring siblings Nicholas (Barbara) , Anthony (Janet) Ricigliano, her brother-in-law John Sereno and many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Josephine will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 4-8PM at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 9:30AM, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch St. Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow immediately at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Josephine's name.
