Obituary of Nancy DeBacco

Nancy (Leone) DeBacco, 71, of Pine Brook, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a five year battle with ovarian cancer. She was raised in Boonton, NJ, the daughter of the late Joseph & Mafalda (Aloi) Leone. She leaves behind a husband of 44 years, Carl DeBacco, and two children, Janine Novak & Jason DeBacco, as well as son-in-law John Novak & grandson William Novak, all of West Caldwell, NJ. Nancy was a graduate of Boonton High School (1961) and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family, both immediate and extended, was her love and her life. Nancy was a fighter until the end - never a negative thought or desire for pity. She fought her battle with courage and grace that many of us could only hope to replicate. She was and always will be our hero. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main St, Boonton, NJ. at 8:30 AM , with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, in Boonton. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
