Obituary of Barbato Raymond Galluzzi

Barbato (Bob) Raymond Galluzzi, 87 Barbato R. Galluzzi, 87, of Boonton passed away on Friday February 20, 2015. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at Dangler Lewis and Carey, 312 West Main Street in Boonton at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 510 Birch Street in Boonton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Dangler Lewis and Carey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 400 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801. Bob was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Boonton in 1956. He was employed by Norda Inc. for 32 years as an organic research chemist, retiring as Director of Sales, Service Flavor Division. Bob was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where he served as President of The Holy Name Society, Advisor to the Catholic Youth Organization and member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. He proudly served in the United States Navy at the end of World War II. Bob was the beloved husband of 64 years of Barbara Galluzzi (nee Roche); devoted father of Paul and his wife Cathy, Carolyn Berry and her husband George, Jane Di Giosaffatte, Philip and his wife Beth, Anne Galluzzi, and Joseph Galluzzi. He was grandfather to 19 grandchildren and "fantastic grandpa" to 19 great grandchildren. He was a loving brother of the late John and Nicholas Galluzzi and Rosemary Muro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
