Obituary of Leonard Nicholas Creatura

Leonard N. Creatura, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the New Jersey Firemen's Home, in Boonton. He was a lifelong resident of Boonton. Leonard proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a Mason for BAC Local 409 in Fairfield; a fifty year member of the Harmony Hose and Engine Fire Department, of Boonton; a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, in Boonton; a baseball coach for the Riverside Athletic Club as well as a pitcher for the Boonton Fire Department softball team; also a member of the NJ Fireman's Relief Association.. Leonard was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Craig Creatura and the late Elizabeth Creatura. He is survived by his loving children Kathleen Rodriguez and her husband Victor, Patricia O'Grady and her husband Joseph, Carol Terrill, Lynn Ayres and her husband Donald; cherished grandchildren Daniel, Carly, Amber, Cassie, Todd, Cody, Donald, and Kelsey and great grandchildren Rylie, Brianna, Molly Rose and Dylan. He was predeceased by his loving parents Nicholas and Jeanette Creatura and dear sisters Joan Generoso and Elaine DuBarry. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main St., in Boonton, with a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch St., Boonton. Interment will follow to Saint Mary's Cemetery, in Boonton. Relatives and friends may visit on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
