Obituary of Joan Larson

Joan Mary Larson, 79 Rockaway, NJ   Joan Mary Larson (nee Buckert) of Rockaway, passed away after a short illness at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Joan was born in the Bronx and lived in Wayne County, Pa.; Jersey City and Boonton before moving to Rockaway 20 years ago. Joan was an Executive Administrator with the Morris County Medical Examiner for several decades. She was a member of the Boontonites, where she served as Treasurer and coordinated their trips and tours. Joan was also an active bowler in Boonton. Joan was a devoted mother and survived by her children; Gary Kehmna, Travelers Rest, SC and his wife Joanne, Jo-Anne Kehmna, Ashburn, VA, and John M. Kehmna, Flanders, NJ and his wife Courtney; and her loving Grandchildren; Perry and Alexis. She also is survived by her former husband and friend, C. Richard Kehmna and close friend Walter Earl Cole. Visiting will be Friday, April 11, 2014 at 4-8 PM at The Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Service will be held at 7PM on Friday April 11, 2014.
