Obituary of Michael Romano

Michael Romano, 92 Boonton, New Jersey Michael Romano, of Boonton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on April 23, 2014. He was born in Dover and a lifelong resident of Boonton, NJ. Michael proudly served in the US Army, during WWII, receiving a Purple Heart Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He was a Plant Manager/Salesman, for 30 yrs, for West Essex Printing Plates in Fairfield, NJ. Michael was a past member of the South Boonton Field Club, Boontonites, Disabled American Veterans Passaic #1 Chapter and West Essex Camera Club. Michael was the beloved husband of Emily Romano (nee Van Duyne); loving father of Margaret Smith and her husband Richard, Janice Turner and her husband William, Martha Romano, and Carol Kelly and her husband Keith; cherished grandfather of 5 and 1 great grandchild. Arrangements are entrusted to Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ and services were private.
