To my Godmother,
Today, we gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Aunt Tina—a woman who touched so many hearts.
To me, she was more than just my Aunt and Godmother. She was a guiding light, a second mom, and later, a cherished Great Aunt to my children. Aunt Tina was there when I needed her most, caring for my little ones while I worked. She never let them leave her home without slipping a few dollars in their pockets—her way of spreading a little extra love.
Aunt Tina had a special connection with Grandpa, who every so often would send her a "sign" to play the lottery. And oh, how she listened! I’ve never known anyone luckier—she won more times than I could count.
Her home was always open, filled with warmth and laughter. She never missed a birthday, and her cards were works of art, complete with little hand-drawn balloons and confetti that made each one feel extra special.
Christmas Eve at Aunt Tina’s was legendary—the place to be for joy, family, and memories. Saturday nights were for sitting around her dining room table, sharing a slice of pizza and countless laughs.
I was lucky to be the first niece, and how cool was it to have one of your favorite people living just two doors down? Aunt Tina made everything brighter, showing her caring soul and unwavering ability to see the best in everyone.
Sitting at the kids' table and playing with Play-Doh while wearing a plastic hat is exactly the reason I will always love you, Aunt Tina. You taught me to appreciate the simple things in life and to be playful no matter what age.
Your generosity and love will be greatly missed. Thank you for being my godmother, my aunt, and simply loving me.
Toodles.
Love,
Stacy
