Obituary of Elvira Salvemini

Elvira “Vera” Salvemini, 79, of Dover, passed away on May, 24, 2021, at her daughter’s residence in Mendham. Born in Morristown, Vera was raised in Boonton and moved to Rockaway in 1968.

 

Vera worked at R.F.L in Boonton Township, where she met her beloved husband, Tom.

 

Visiting will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Dangler Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow immediately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wootton Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Vera’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research  Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Vera is survived by her beloved husband Thomas A. Salvemini, Jr., her loving children Kimberly Pinsak (Peter), Karen Rogers (Phil) and Mark Barrett (Mary); her cherished 8 grandchildren; and caring sister Elaine Hopkins. Vera was predeceased by her son Bobby Dembrowski.

 

 

During the COVID 19 pandemic, all persons entering the Funeral Home or Church will be required to wear a face mask or face covering throughout their stay. Likewise, all social distancing rules must be adhered to. Gathering in groups should not happen. A continued flow throughout the facility will aid in keeping us all safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.
