Obituary of Remo Giorgio DeLuca

Remo Giorgio Osvaldo De Luca, a self-made man and entrepreneur died on August 24th 2020 at the age of 89 in North Palm Beach, Florida.  He was married to Ann for 65 years.

 

Remo De Luca was born in Teramo, Italy on October 26th 1930.  He was the son of Romolo and Artemisa De Luca.  He was educated as a professor of the classics in Teramo Italy.  He came to the United States in 1952 as an American citizen and served in the 5th regimental combat team as a sniper as well as a military police officer in the Korean War.

 

He returned to NJ and fell in love with Ann (Martinez) in 1955 and they married on March 18th 1956.  They had four children.  He lived a very full life serving his family and community.  He held positions in UNICO and the Knights of Columbus. He touched the lives of many friends and family, and will be remembered by his nieces and nephews as a generous and passionate man. He was an oenologist, a poet, and an avid fisherman.  He lived life fast, hard, and to the limit.  A man of no regrets except...not enough time.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (nee Martinez). His daughter, Dr. Linda De Luca, her husband, Dr. Kenneth Sandler, and their children, Katherine and Thomas.

His son Paul De Luca his wife Susan, and their children, Krista and Matt Aghazarian, and Gregory and Baily De Luca.

His daughter, Laura De Luca, predeceased him on November 30th 1991.

His son, Anthony De Luca and wife Stacey, and their sons, Romolo and Vincent.

His two great-grandchildren, Jack Aghazarian, and James De Luca.

He will be laid to rest beside his mother, Artemesia, father, Romolo and daughter, Laura, on September 11, 2020 in Woodbridge, NJ.  The family is planning a celebration of Remo’s life in the future.
