Obituary of William Robert Petrusky
William Robert Petrusky of Montville, N.J., passed away suddenly Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his home in Queensbury, NY. He was 63 years of age. Born in 1957 in Englewood, NJ, Bill was one of five children of William and Jacquellyn Petrusky. After graduating from Montville High School, he received a BA from the University of Georgia where he played tennis on a full athletic scholarship. Following graduation, Bill worked for the Dunlop Corporation for many years and was awarded national salesman of the year. He was an active member of the Lake Valhalla Club, where he won countless men’s singles and doubles tournaments. Bill was a longtime member of St. Pius X Church in Montville, New Jersey. He and his fiancée Aimee Ackell enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and pickleball together. He was a loving uncle to six nieces and nephews. Most notably, Bill was a devoted son who tirelessly took care of his parents during their final years. He will always be remembered as a fierce, generous, and loyal friend and will be profoundly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Predeceased by his beloved parents William and Jacquellyn Petrusky, Bill is survived by his four siblings; sister, Lisa Brissie of CT; brothers, Donald of PA; Peter of OH and Charles of MD; as well as their respective children. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow immediately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerlewisandcareyfuneralhome.com.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, all persons entering the Funeral Home and Church
will be required to wear a face mask or face covering throughout their stay. Likewise, all social distancing rules must be adhered to. Gathering together in groups should not happen. A continued flow throughout the facility will aid in keeping all of us safe, with everyone having an opportunity to pay their respects.
