Susan Rutzler posted a condolence

My name is Susan Rutzler. Mrs Lynch was my guidance counselor in 1972. She once said to me,with that all knowing smile of hers, she would like to see how I turned out in 20 years. She knew me well. I would have loved to have seen her before this. I live in St Augustine FL now. She was one of the best people on my life at a time that was unsure for me.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of my dear friend and former Guidance Counselor Elayne M. Lynch. She was much more than my Guidance Counselor at Montville High School, she was a mentor, friend, protector, confidant, heroine, second mom. Reconnecting with her a few years ago on Facebook made me very happy. I will miss her more than words can say. RIP dear friend. You made a huge impact on this woman's life and I love you for it. So very sad.

So very sorry for your loss!! Ms. Zabriskie had a tremendous impact on my life. She is the reason I became a PE teacher. She had a heart of gold and gave unconditionally to students.
Cherish the memories!!!

I will forever be appreciative of Ms. Lynch for encouraging me to attend college. She was the first person to tell me and whole heartedly believe, that I was college material. She even tried to help mend my troubled relationship my father. She is the main reason I became a counselor for abused/troubled youth. Rest easy Ms. Lynch.
P.S.-She also introduced me to real Italian food. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Everyone has always posted how Elayne made such a positive impact on their lives. I am one of the many. I always felt she was compassionate to me. I knew the impact she had in my young life and the wonderful example of being a woman she taught me. I am happy that the same was felt by so many others.
You are missed Elayne - but always remembered in my heart and in my life. I am a better person having been your student and friend.
Blessings to your family xoxoxoxo
