Obituary of Joseph Ralph Brigante

Dr. Joseph Ralph Brigante, 96, of Boonton Township

Dr. Joseph Ralph Brigante, 96, of Boonton Townhip passed away on September 18, 2019 at  his  residence. Born and raised in the Bronx, Joseph moved to Boonton, New Jersey in 1953.

Dr. Brigante attended Marquette University, in Wisconsin, where he met the love of his life Ann, a nurse. Joseph was a Medical Doctor with his own practice in Boonton prior to working at Schering Plough  as the Medical Director of Clinical Research.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Wootton Street in Boonton. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dr. Brigante’s name to the Alzheimers Association, Greater NJ Chapter, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 2009-6001. Dr. Brigante was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann (Mesich) and his son Anthony. He is survived by his loving children, Joseph, Mary Ann, John (Mary), Patrick, Tina Venturini (Joseph) ,Geralyn (Dennis) Cecchini, and Barbara; Grandchildren John, Joseph and Nicholas Brigante, Anthony, Alexandra, and Vincent Grand, Samuel Brigante, Julia Plechacek, Joseph and Gianni Venturini : 4 great- grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
