Carmella Laiso, 99, of Montville

Carmella Laiso, 99, of Montville passed away on April 28, 2019 at her residence. Carmella was born and raised in Newark, and has resided in Montville for the past 65 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 4-7 PM at the Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville, NJ 07045. Entombment will follow immediately at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carmella’s name to St. Pius X Church.

Carmella was a member of the East Side High School Honor Society, a life member of the Montville Senior Citizens, and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Montville. Prior to her retirement, Carmella worked as an assembler for Aircraft Radio Corporation in Boonton.

Carmella was predeceased by her beloved husband Samuel; her loving children Michael, Janet Matlock and Marianne Vanderryst; her grandson Sammy; and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her caring daughter-in-law Marion Laiso; grandchildren Tom (Samantha) and Danny; 3 great –grandchildren and her caring aide of 3 years Tina Fosu.
