William Thomas Petrusky
Loving Father and Grandfather
William Thomas Petrusky, resident of Montville for 50 years, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father and loving grandfather with a generous heart and he will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Born January 24, 1929, in Youngstown, OH, Mr. Petrusky received a BS degree from Youngstown College in 1953, where he met his future wife of sixty years, Jacquellyn (Powers). He served honorably in the U.S. Army Reserves in the mid-1950s as a First Lieutenant. While beginning his professional career at Mobil Oil Company in New York City, he simultaneously earned his MBA from New York University. He then relocated his family to New Jersey in 1966 to work for the American Cyanamid Company. They raised their five children in Lake Valhalla and were longtime parishioners of Saint Pius X Catholic Church, where he served as a Lector.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jacquellyn, in 2013 and by his sister, Barbara Randall. He is survived by his five children: Lisa Brissie, William Petrusky, Jr., Donald Petrusky, Peter Petrusky, and Charles Petrusky, as well as his eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Charles Petrusky.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ, on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM. The Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
