Dolores Mercedes McGuire, 86, of Mt. Tabor

Dolores Mercedes McGuire, 86, of Mt. Tabor, passed away on July 7, 2018 at Boonton Care Center in Boonton Township. Dolores was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. She lived in Norfolk, Virginia and Boonton, NJ, before settling in Mt. Tabor. Prior to her retirement, Dolores worked as a registered nurse at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville and Sarah Frances Nursing Home in Boonton Township.

Dolores was the beloved wife of the late William David McGuire; the loving mother of Cynthia Scerbo, David George McGuire and Linda McGuire; the cherished grandmother of Matthew Scerbo; and caring sister of Helen Burkhardt.

Funeral Services for Dolores, will be held privately under the care of Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dolores’s name to the animal rights group of your choice.
