Leo J. Coyle

Leo passed away peacefully at home in Denville, April 11th. Loving Father of Janice Kostyszyn, Grandfather of Shawn Kostyszyn and his wife Danielle and Kevin Kostyszyn and his wife Dana. Great Grandfather(Pop Pop) to Anthony, Julianna, Alexa, Joseph and Gianna.

Predeceased by his wife of 60 years Marion, brothers Richard and Robert, sisters Evelyn, Ruth, Terry, Rosalind and Patricia. He leaves behind sisters Agnes, Bernice and Helen. He was lovingly called “Uncle Chub” by many nieces and nephews.

After serving for the Navy in the Atlantic Theater during World War II he married his sweetheart Marion (Jolman) in November 1946. Their daughter Janice was born in 1947. Leo and Marion resided in Totowa their entire married life. He worked from 1949 until his retirement at age 65 as a Manager at City Ladder Company in Paterson.

A gentleman who always had a smile and a handshake for everyone. He was an avid golfer who spent most of his time during retirement at Preakness Valley Golf Course in Wayne playing golf with many friends and playing well into his 80's.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, Lily White and the people at Compassionate Care Hospice for all that they did to make his final days comfortable and peaceful.
