Mary Patricia Horgan, of Jersey City, NJ

Mary Patricia Horgan, of Jersey City, NJ, passed away at home, with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in County Cork, Ireland, and moved to Jersey City, NJ at age 15. She moved to Boonton one year ago.

Mary was a clerical worker in telecommunications for Bell Atlantic and also worked as a crossing guard in Jersey City, prior to her retirement..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 9-10 AM at The Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on the same date at 10:30 AM, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ.   Interment will follow immediately at Rockaway Valley Cemetery in Boonton Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name to Atlantic Home Care and Hospice, 465 South Street, Suite 100, Morristown, NJ 07960 would be greatly appreciated. Mary was predeceased by her parents Jeremiah and Ellen Horgan, brother Timothy Horgan and brother-in-law Bela Beik. She is survived by Frank and Senan (his  wife Nora) Horgan of Ireland, sister Eileen Beik, nephew John Beik ( his wife Maureen) , nieces Donna Beik and Elaine Horgan, a great niece and great nephews. Mary also had a large circle of friends, especially at Lincoln Park Tennis Club in Jersey City, where she was a longtime member.
