I will never forget how Tommy smiled every time he spoke about his wife and his children. When his daughter got married he was beaming. It was clear that his love for his family was the source of his joy. He was one of the kindest people I have met at ABC News, and I will always be grateful for his gentle nature in the midst of tight deadlines and stress-filled days, and his patience and guidance when I was a newcomer almost 20 years ago. Sending love and condolences to the family. I had a picture but searched and couldn't find it; it was a picture of Tommy in the edit room - smiling!

Maureen and Family,
My deepest condolences go out to you and your family at this very difficult time.
I was truly saddened to hear of Tommy's passing this weekend.
We worked together at ABC for 22 years and during that time I got to know a truly kind and gentle person who could always manage a smile and some astute perspective, even when all around him were lacking both.
It is my wish that your lifetime of loving memories with Tom, help to somehow get you through the loss of such a fine human being from your lives.
He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Maureen, we are truly sorry to learn of Tom's death. He was a lovely man who saw the best in everyone. We felt fortunate to have him as a neighbor and friend for so many years. Rutgers ROTC Ceremony, May, 2014. Tommy and Maureen were there to see their friend's son Joey's commissioning. Tommy and I spoke several times that afternoon. When I left the reception hall, we shook hands and Tommy gave me that Tommy smile, just like the one in the picture on this webpage.

I am so sorry to hear of Tommy' s passing. I worked with Tom for fifteen years at ABC. He was one of those guys that I sought out when the bs got up to my knees. You never had to handicap what he said against the possibility of ulterior motives. Tom was a good, honest man, -- a friendly face in a sea of sharks. And a pretty good basketball player too. The world was a better place with Tommy in it. He will be missed.
