Glenn Alan Damble

Glenn Alan Damble was predeceased by his father, Francis Damble Sr., and his mother, Bessie Damble.

He is survived by his brother, Francis Damble Jr., and his late wife, Joan; nephew Timothy Damble and his wife, Beth; niece Doreen Fulara and her husband, Michael; nephew Brian Damble and his wife, Artemis; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Glenn proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He then served as the Post Quatermaster at VWF Post 242 from 1985-1988.

At the age of 17, Glenn developed a love of fast cars and motorcycles, a passion he enjoyed throughout his life until he was no longer able to operate them.

In the 1960s, Glenn spent countless happy hours camping and fishing with his uncles at Paradox Lake in upstate New York. He continued to visit Paradox Lake throughout his life and eventually purchased his own wooden Starcraft boat, which he rebuilt with detail himself.

Glenn began his working career at Vydec, where he worked on processing systems, console systems, and helped build 8-inch floppy drives. He later worked as a traffic manager and in a warehouse doing shipping operations, where he also wrote truck routes. He eventually worked as a supply coordinator at Picatinny Arsenal until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Glenn enjoyed gardening, researching historic sites, and metal detecting. He was a fan of both the New York Yankees and New York Mets and enjoyed going to the track and betting on horse races.

Glenn will be remembered by his family and friends for his military service, his work, and the many interests he enjoyed throughout his life.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15 from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at Dangler Lewis & Carey, 312 West Main St., Boonton, NJ 07005. There will be Military Honors at 3:00p.m.
