Ida Rose Anderson

Ida Rose Anderson, 95, of Boonton, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Ida was born in Boonton, NJ, on September 11, 1930, and grew up and lived in Boonton all her life.  Here parents were Pasquale “Patsy” and Rose (née DiSilvestre) Spinozzi. She graduated from Boonton High School and worked for 36 years at Artisan Electronics where she was a Soldering Assembler. 

Surviving are her children, David Anderson, Glenn & his wife Linda (née Luzzi) Anderson and Richard and his wife Madelaine (née Alcantara) Anderson.  She is also survived by her cherish grandchildren Alexa Vanemon (Kifton), Brett Anderson, Samantha Anderson and Austin Anderson and nieces and nephews.

Ida enjoyed going to church, bowling, and the occasional casino trip with friends. She always loved to have family gatherings at her house, most of all she loved her family and taking care of her children and grandchildren.  She loved seeing them at dance recitals, baseball, lacrosse, field hockey and wrestling meets.

Ida was pre-deceased by her parents, husband Gerald S. Anderson, sons, Gerald and William, sisters, Anne De Bellonia, Helen Granato; and brother Gabriel Spinozzi.

We want to extend a warm thank you to her long-time friend Betty Benitez for being there for Ida and supporting her through her journey.

Please join the family on Sunday, July 26, 2026, for viewing between 2 pm - 6 pm at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home in Boonton, NJ.  Mass will be held the following day at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Boonton, NJ. Followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Boonton.
