William Giangeruso, Jr., husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away surrounded by his family on May 30, 2026 at the age of 87 years old. 

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, William was the son of the late William Giangeruso, Sr. and Dorothy DeCamp Giangeruso. He attended Nutley High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960.

Following his military service, Bill was a Senior Lab Technician with Hoffman-La Roche in Nutley, NJ where he worked for 32 years before retiring. He and his wife, Janet G. Hunsinger, shared 64 years of marriage, building a life centered on family.

Bill and Janet made their home in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where they raised their three children: Lisa Peterson; Sue Ellen Murphy and her husband, Timothy; and William Giangeruso III and his wife, Laura.

Family was the greatest joy of Bill's life. He was a proud grandfather to Andrew (Alyssa), Michael (Sandy), Emily (Jake), Thomas, Nicholas, Shawn, Kyle, Niki Anne, William IV, Michael B., Ryan (DaRyung Han), Raymond (Tiffany), and Benjamen. He was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren.

William is survived by wife, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his siblings, Sharon Pratola, Joyce Nicosia (Nick), and Basile Giangeruso. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Gail Piekart and Dorothy Dawn Demeraski.

William will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, his service to his country, and the kindness and generosity he extended to those around him. William did not want to be remembered in a service but in the stories he shared in life.
