Paul Joseph-Sebastian Onorati passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 19th, 2026 at the age of 93. Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Theresa Rose Inteli-Onorati. Paul is survived by his beloved sons, Alfred and Paul Jr.; his daughters-in-law, Lisa and Regina; his cherished grandchildren, Angelique, Alfredo, Reginald, Kristen, “little” Paul, Jessica, and Joseph; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Paul was born on November 15th, 1932 in New Jersey to Sebastian and Gelesta Onorati. He grew up alongside his four brothers in a close-knit Italian family that shaped his lifelong values of hard work, loyalty, generosity, and dedication to family.
Paul married his high school sweetheart, Theresa Rose Inteli, on July 19th, 1953 in Boonton, New Jersey. Their love was the foundation of his life, and he spoke of her often with enduring devotion and affection. Shortly after their marriage, the two moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina while Paul served in the Army as a 503 Military Policeman. In 1956, Paul and Theresa returned to Boonton to begin building their life and family together. Paul joined the family business, Onorati Construction, where his work ethic and commitment became a defining part of who he was.
Above all else, Paul was a family man. He adored his wife and children and took immense pride in the family they built together. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people he loved most, especially his grandchildren, who brought happiness, laughter, and purpose into his life.
Paul will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his humor, his passion, and the unwavering love he gave so freely to others. He had a larger-than-life presence, a generous spirit, and a way of making people feel welcomed, supported, and cared for. Whether through a story, a joke, a helping hand, or simply his steady presence, Paul made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Paul’s family will remember him as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, loyal friend, and deeply generous soul whose love shaped generations. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished so completely.
