Lon Thomas Davis, III, 71, of Mount Bethel, PA formerly Lincoln Park, NJ passed away surrounded by his loved ones on September 6, 2025, at Lehigh Valley – Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown, PA.
Lon was born in Hackensack, NJ to Lon T., Jr. and Dr. Louise M. Davis on November 5, 1953. He went to Teaneck High School and graduated in 1972. Lon went on to earn two associate degrees in Business and Computers from Bergen Community College. Since 2017, he worked full time as a Senior Computer Operator for Computer Technologies located in Pearl River, NY and had no intentions of retiring anytime soon. He also worked part time for various transportation companies throughout the years, but decided to “semi retire” from that business in 2019.
Lon enjoyed living life to the fullest and was a dedicated worker. He had a loving, fun, and friendly personality and his sense of humor was unmatched. The King of dad jokes. He enjoyed campfires, barbeques, the outdoors, beaches, the summer sun, traveling, and more importantly he was a family man. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His patience and positive attitude on life was like no other. He loved the NY Mets and Jets. He loved to bowl and play racquetball. Lon would watch any and all sports. His family would say he is a walking sports statistic and could recite dates of games and provide the play by play of how it went. Lon was selfless until the very end by becoming an organ donor through the Gift of Life program. He was able to donate two of his organs to help save lives.
Lon is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beth Blankley Davis. He is survived by his son, Scott T. Davis (and wife, Lisa) of Franklin, NJ and his daughter, Dawn M. Simm (and husband, Bryan) of Mount Bethel, PA. Beloved grandfather to Kaylee, Brianna, and Nicholas Davis and Bryan Simm, Jr. Lon is survived by his sister, Toni Mehler of Glen Allen, VA and his nephews, Christopher and Casey Mehler. Lon is preceded in death by his parents, Lon T. Jr. and Dr. Louise M. Davis.
Memorial donations may be made to your local first responders in his memory or local Gift of Life Donor program by becoming an organ donor. For additional information visit www.donors1.org
