Joseph T. Knott Jr., Joe, "Pop Pop," Dad, age 70 from Boonton Twp, NJ passed away on August 26th. He died peacefully with his children beside him at his home in Walnutport, Pa. Joseph was born in Boonton to Joseph Knott Sr and Marion Knott (Westenberger) on December 29th, 1954. He graduated from Boonton High School. As a young man he enjoyed hunting with his cousins in the woods of Pennsylvania. He worked for Allied Vans in Dover, owned his own semi truck and worked for various companies. He also worked for George Westenberger Plumbing & Heating for many years. He was also the owner of Boonton Ave Bait & Tackle. His entire life he was an avid fisherman, hunter and sportsman. He loved riding his Harley on beautiful days. He later on moved to Walnutport, Pa and made it his new home. During his time in Walnutport he enjoyed creative art with his welding. He made beautiful pieces and enjoyed going to craft shows selling his work. He also loved gardening. Every year he looked forward to getting the garden going. He would always make sure to share the wealth from it. Especially his pickles! He loved cooking and trying new recipes. He would have picnics at his house mostly in the summer holidays and always put on an amazing firework display which he LOVED doing! He also loved spending time with his large family around his homemade fire pit whenever he could. He will be missed by his family, especially by his two grandchildren which he adored. Joseph is predeceased by his Father Joseph T. Knott Sr, and Mother Marion Knott (Westenberger). Joseph is survived by his daughter Gina Knott, grandson Terrance, son Joey Knott and his wife Traci (Koch), granddaughter Maggie, siblings Maureen Occhiuto (Knott) Deborah Bacchetta (Knott) and husband Tony, Nancy Berrios (Knott) husband Gary, Linda Davis (Knott) and husband Mike. Also, many nieces and nephews and cousins. Rest easy Daddy! We love you and we will see you in Heaven!
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home, 312 W Main Street, Boonton NJ 07005.
