Charles E. Helmstetter Jr., age 77, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 30, 1947 in Newark to parents Charles and Ruth. He currently lived in Morris county. He worked with his dad as a milkman when a teenager, completed some college and applied to the police force in Montville township. He proudly served on their force until his retirement.

Charles loved the outdoors and found excitement in exploring the woods. He liked home projects and building rock walls. He also was an amazing golfer, and at 77, could still out drive most on the course.

Charles, affectionately know as "Chuch", is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 24 years, who loved him dearly. He was a devoted and loving father to Sean & Maria, Douglas & Erin, Paul & Kristin, Abbigail & Nicolas, and Gary & Gleidys. Charles was the proud grandfather to Zoey, Celeste, Adar and Gianna. He was predeceased by sister, Susan.

He touched many lives in his own way and was loved by all. Chuch was pure of heart and will be greatly missed.
