Obituary of Marsha Saharyan

Please share a memory of Marsha to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marsha “Mimi” Louise (Thompson) Saharyan, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, New Jersey. She was 77.

Born in Sparta, NJ, on February 22, 1948, Mimi was the daughter of Jean (Cormier) Thompson and John Thompson and the beloved sister of John (Tommy), Jeffrey, Steven, and Matthew Thompson.

Mimi’s life was a radiant expression of love, kindness, and quiet strength. She married Ronald Saharyan of Boonton, NJ, and together they raised two sons, Ron and Justin Saharyan. She welcomed her daughter-in-law, Mary Saharyan, with a full heart and found boundless joy in her granddaughter Jane, who was the light of her life.

Mimi was a gracious host and a natural caretaker, always happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and sometimes mischief.

Mornings with coffee on her deck, watching the birds, spending time with her animals, dog Murphy, and cat Milo. Mimi loved reading and relaxing at her beloved beach house, sharing stories, and making memories with those around her.

She lived a happy, fulfilled life, leaving a strong, loving family and a legacy of kindness, connection, and care. Mimi’s warmth touched many, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home located at 312 West Main Street Boonton, NJ on Saturday June 21, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A prayer service will be held at 1:00pm.
