Robert L. Gabowsky, 76, of Morris Plains passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2025.  Robert was born in Pitttsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Robert grew up in Montville and Boonton, N.J.  After finishing High School he joined the U.S. Army and spent many years serving his country in Viet Nam, Korea and various other places.

After leaving the armed forces, Robert returned to New Jersey and spent his final years living with his brother Patrick and Patrick's wife Joann in Morris Plains.  Robert worked in a gas station convenience store and pumped gas where he made many friends.

Robert is preceeded in death by his parents John and Annabelle Gabowsky, brothers John, Patrick and William and his sister Carol Gabowsky Terry.  He is survived by a sister Joann Gabowsky Foley and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will he held at The Dangler Lewis & Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street, Boonton, NJ from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a pastoral service at 12:00 p.m.  Buriel will be at the Montville Reformed Cemetary in Montille, NJ
