Obituary of Robert Edmond Wright

Robert Edmund Wright III of Boonton, New Jersey, formally of Westfield, NJ, unexpectedly passed away on January 19, 2025 in Parsippany, NJ.

Born in Columbus, Ohio on October 10, 1946, “Bob“ was the son of Robert Edmund Wright Jr. and Gloria Obenchain Wright Russell.

He grew up and attended school in Prairie Village, KS where he graduated from SM East High School. After briefly attending Baker University, Bob enlisted in the Navy where he completed his basic training in San Diego.

Bob was an avid sports fan of all things Kansas City, particularly the Chiefs and the Royals.

Bob was pre-deceased by his younger brother, John Wright.

Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia; sons Kevin of Boonton and Peter and his wife Meghan of Sugarland, TX; daughter Brandeis and her husband Robert of South Berwick, ME; step-daughters Kristin McGuire of Clinton, NJ and Andrea Heywood and her husband Mark of Manville, NJ; and grandchildren Scarlet, Cree, Patrick, Ryan and Emma.

He is also survived by his younger sister, Susan, her husband Bob, and their children and grandchildren of Paola, KS.
