Obituary of Ross Whitney Magrane

Ross Whitney Magrane, 69, of Boonton Township Ross Whitney Magrane, 69, of Boonton Township passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 1, 2017. Born in Bronxville, NY, Ross was raised in Montclair, NJ. He received a BA from the University of Arizona and a MBA from Syracuse University. Ross lived in Verona prior to settling in Boonton Township in 2000. Ross was a member of the Pocono Lake Preserve. An avid sportsman, Ross enjoyed baseball, lacrosse, tennis, hunting and golf. Ross was truly " A gentle man with a big heart". Ross was the beloved husband of 34 years to Joan Zichelli Magrane and is also survived by his siblings J Scott Magrane and his wife Lynn and Mary Magrane, as well as 19 adored nieces and nephews. As per Ross' request, funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ross' name to the Boonton Kiwanis First Aid Squad, PO Box 16, Boonton, NJ 07005 or Atlantic Hospice, 465 South Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.
