Obituary of Robert John Marone

Robert John "Bob" Marone Jr. , 53 of Boonton Township, passed away on July 22, 2016, at Hackensack University Hospital. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Bob was raised in East Brunswick and has resided in Boonton Township for many years. Bob attended Seton Hall University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Bob was employed as the Director of Employee Relations for the Northeast Region at Securitas Security Services in Manhattan, New York. Bob was extremely active coaching baseball, soccer and softball in Boonton Township. Bob was an avid photography buff. He was also a member of the Board of Education in the Rockaway Valley School System. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Caroline Marone (nee Castellana), his loving children, daughter Chelsea and son Robert John Marone III, cherished mother Margaret Marone and caring brother Keith Marone. He also survived by his nieces and nephews, Salvatore, Giovanni, Francesca, Antonio and Ava. Bob was predeceased by his father Robert John Marone Sr. Visitation for Bob will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 9:30 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 61 Broadway, Suite 400 , New York, New York 10006.
