Obituary of Mary Mahlstedt

Mary Mahlstedt , 88, of Boonton Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Merry Heart, Boonton Township, NJ. Mary was born and raised in Belfast, Ireland. Upon her arrival in the United States, she resided in New York City, Teaneck, Montville and Parsippany, NJ , before moving to Boonton Township. Although Mary has lived in this country for nearly 80 years – she arrived here at 10 – she has maintained her original friendships throughout her life. Prior to retirement, Mary worked as a Senior Claims Support Associate for Aetna Life Insurance Company in Parsippany. She was a member of Montville Reformed Church. Mary was very family oriented and would do anything she could for family. Mary was the beloved mother of Linda Lawrence and her husband Walter, Barbara Sharpe and Robert Mahlstedt and his wife Carolyn. Mary was the dear sister of William Harper Jr. and his wife Joyce, and their family. She was also the devoted Grandmother of Michael, Bobby, Mark, Kassidy, Liam and the late Connor. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ 07005. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus NJ.
