Robert A. (Bob) Carey , 81, Boonton Robert A. (Bob) Carey, age 81 of Boonton, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center after a long illness. Bob was born on August 4, 1934 in Morristown, NJ and lived in Boonton his entire life. He is the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Downy) Carey. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Lawrence, Richard and twin brother Donald, and his sister Marian (Carey) Palazzo. He survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret A. Carey (Kiernan), sons Robert and his wife Jacqueline of Long Valley, NJ, Daniel and his wife Sharon of Boonton, Daughter Deborah A. Stroud and her husband Tracy of Talbot, Tn., his Sister Jean Wardamasky formerly of Boonton, 9 grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Bob worked for Jersey Central Power and Light Company as a Sr. Layout Engineer for 42 years in Morristown, served as an Usher at O.L.M.C and was an Honorary Member of the Boonton Fire Department. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, between the hours of 4PM and 8PM, at Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 W. Main Street, Boonton, NJ . Funeral Services will commence on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 8:30AM at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 910 Birch Street, Boonton. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Boonton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Boonton Kiwanis Ambulance Squad, at 150 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton or the Boonton Fire Department, 100 Washington Street.
