Antoinette D. Heissenbuttel passed away at the age of 94, on November 17, 2017. She was born in Jermyn, PA , in 1923, and lived through the Great Depression with her family of 10 siblings. She moved to NYC briefly until settling in Denville, New Jersey. She worked at Picatinny Arsenal during World War II with the Women's Work Force , while troops were fighting abroad.
Antoinette eventually met her husband Siebert Heissenbuttel in Denville. They spent most of their married life living in Mountain Lakes where they raised 4 children. She was a sports enthusiast, particularly of the Mets and Giants. She was a proud supporter of the Mountain Lakes Herd, attending home games into her late 80's. Antoinette often said " Having children was the best part of her life". She was a fun and loving mother who was always there for her children. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation for Antoinette will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 10 AM – 12:00 PM at the Dangler, Lewis and Carey Funeral Home, 312 West Main Street Boonton, NJ 07005. Interment will follow immediately at Rockaway Valley Cemetery in Boonton.
Antoinette is survived by her beloved children Arthur, Nancy, John and Virginia; her 7 grandchildren Carly, Jessie, Henry, Anna, Lily, John and Ian; and 2 great-grandchildren Mason and Vivian.
